Tickets for the 2017 season: conditions of sale

Advance booking reduction
A 10% advance booking reduction will be granted on tickets for all Savonlinna Opera Festival events in the 2017 season. The concession is valid July 8–August 31, 2016. The tickets must be paid for by September 30, 2016. The advance booking reduction does not apply to Potluck tickets, which are sold only at our online shop.

Groups of at least 20 are entitled to a group reduction of 10%. There is no group reduction on tickets purchased online. The group reduction cannot be combined with the advance booking reduction.

Tour operator commission
The commission for tour operators is 5% of the ticket prices (min. 10 persons). Commission is granted only on tickets bought at the Opera Festival Office.

Club Opera (subscription)
Members of Club Opera (Silver, Gold, Platinum) are entitled to a 10% advance booking reduction on all Savonlinna Opera Festival events. The concession is valid until January 31, 2017. Club Opera members must present their Club Card on booking and pay for their tickets by the given date in order to qualify for the reduction. Students and children
Students (under 30) and children (under 16) are entitled to a 25% reduction on normal-priced tickets for all Savonlinna Opera Festival events in Olavinlinna Castle. The number of such tickets per performance is limited. The reduction does not apply to Potluck tickets and cannot be combined with any other reduction. Purchasers must be prepared to present proof of entitlement both on purchasing their tickets and at the door.

Tickets purchased at Lippupiste outlets are delivered on Lippupiste’s terms.

Service charges
We apply the general Lippupiste service charges. These may change in the course of the sales season. Any increases will also apply to bookings already made but not yet paid for.

Online from Lippupiste (www.lippu.fi)
A service charge will be added to the price of the ticket, along with a delivery charge depending on the means of delivery. Tickets can be paid for as a web payment, by debit card, Finnair Plus points and invoice. Not more than 20 tickets per delivery.

Ticket outlets make a service charge depending on the type of ticket.

Invoice and credit card sales by telephone
The invoice will be sent by post or by email and the tickets will be delivered after receipt of payment, either by post, or by email for you to print out. Tickets ordered by telephone can only be delivered by post.

Tickets paid for by credit card will be delivered by post once the sum has been debited.

Tickets to be delivered abroad must be paid for by credit card.

R-kiosk outlet: €1/ticket
Invoice (payment in instalments)
Web payment charge of €5/order for telephone and online orders.
Lippupiste outlet (tickets purchased online and collected from a Lippupiste outlet): €3.50/delivery. No delivery charge for tickets ordered by telephone. A web payment charge amounting to 1% of the total ticket sum will be made on tickets paid for with a credit card.

Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers can be made out for any sum and purchased from a full-service Lippupiste outlet (not R-kiosks), online and at the Savonlinna Opera Festival Ticket Office.


Culture vouchers
Tickets for the Savonlinna Opera Festival can be paid for with Smartum and Edenred Culture Vouchers. These vouchers are valid means of payment at the Savonlinna Opera Festival Ticket Office. The vouchers accepted by individual Lippupiste outlets are stated on Smartum’s and Edenred’s own websites. Lippupiste maintains an updated list at www.lippu.fi/outlets of outlets that accept vouchers.

Culture vouchers can be used to buy tickets for personal use only. In other words, they cannot be used to buy gift vouchers, for example.

Flexi tickets
For summer 2017 we are again selling flexi tickets to ensure that you can still visit the Savonlinna Opera Festival even if your plans change. This option is valid until May 31, 2017 and entitles you to change your ticket for one of the same price for any performance during the same opera season, subject to availability. You can upgrade your flexi ticket for a more expensive one by paying the balance. There will be a service charge for changing your ticket, and service charges already paid will not be reimbursed.

Flexi tickets can be changed at the full-service outlet where they were originally bought. Tickets bought online or at an R-kiosk can be changed via the Savonlinna Opera Festival Office, tel. 015 476 750. Postage charge starting from 10€/delivery added.

Potluck tickets
Potluck tickets are sold (only online) for performances of Kullervo and The Castle in the Water in summer 2017. Each ticket costs €70 and entitles the holder to the best available seat (box not included). Potluck tickets can be purchased online at any time and can be claimed from 15.00 on the day of the performance of Kullervo and from 11.30 on the day of the performance of The Castle in the Water, at the Festival Ticket Office (Olavinkatu 27, Savonlinna). They are issued in order of purchase, beginning with the best available seats selected by the Opera Festival. The Opera Festival cannot guarantee that the buyer of, say, two Potluck tickets will get adjacent seats. The number of Potluck tickets is limited. No reductions are granted on Potluck tickets.

Tickets cannot be refunded or changed, apart from flexi tickets.
Force majeure conditions apply to all performances. Tickets will then be refunded on presentation.
The Savonlinna Opera Festival takes no responsibility for lost tickets.

We apply a flexible pricing policy. The price of the ticket depends on the location of the seat, the production, and the demand for tickets. The price of a particular seat may alter during the sales season.
