Opera Festival partners are present at a meeting place for the business world where the international element is manifest in the audience, performers and media alike. The more than 60,000-strong audience at the Savonlinna Opera Festival represents highly educated opinion leaders employed in managerial and expert capacities.
The Festival annually engages in partnership with 13-25 companies from different fields. It also has a large international network of partnerships in the performing arts. Each year it acts host to a major opera house from outside Finland and itself takes 1-3 productions abroad. The joint productions with foreign opera houses are a major item in the partnership programme. The Festival is an active member of the joint organisations of European and American opera houses.
